Hey, there. I’m Heather Stephens from Wise Owl Marketing, and I want to welcome you to this week’s video training. We are going to be talking about the process that I like to call my From Discouraged to Livin’ the Dream Flight Plan.

This is a strategy or a system that you can follow to go through the four different levels in your business, from just getting started and not having automated systems, not having any leads coming in, to where you are truly living the dream, making the income that you want, and being able to create predictable lead flow, all of that good stuff.

At the end of this video/post, I will have a link in order to download an overview map that has all the information that I’m sharing in this video for you, so that you can use it in order to implement the different steps in your business and know what areas and things you need to be focusing on based on what level you are in your business.

Okay. Here we go. This is the From Discouraged to Livin’ the Dream Flight Plan.

First, Decide Where Your Business Is

The first thing I want you to do is really take a look at these phases, and determine where in this pyramid you currently fall in your business, so what symptoms and clues are currently pointing you to this particular level? I’ll go through each of those right now, and then we’ll be looking at where you’re going next. If you want to pay attention to those things as I go through, it’ll be really helpful to you.

Level 1: Discouraged

Level one is really the Discouraged level. People who are in level one are feeling overwhelmed, they’re trading their time for money, they are stuck in tech overwhelm oftentimes, and their lead flow and their income are really, really scarce.

As far as revenue, they’re probably making up to $5,000 a month, and they’re not paying themselves a salary, and they really don’t have systems in place in order to help them deliver their services, and get leads, manage their business, or any of those things. They are really truly in the kind of hustle and grind phase of the business.

Level 2: Doing It All

People who are in the Doing it All phase, are spinning a million plates, exhausted, driven, they know that they’re going to make it work, they’re starting to see some results, and they’re really, really focused on doing everything.

Their income and leads are still fluctuating at this phase in their business, and they’re probably making between five to $15,000 a month in revenue. They’re probably paying themselves a little bit of money, but it’s inconsistent, so their income isn’t where they want it to be, and it isn’t something that they can count on yet.

As far as systems, they’re probably manually generating leads, whether it’s engaging in Facebook groups, or posting content, or networking in person, those kinds of things, and they’re really focused at this phase on developing the systems they need in order to deliver their one-on-one service.

This is an awesome phase to be in because this is really where you’re going to start creating the systems that are going to give you leverage in your business, and you have to be working with people in order to know what systems your business is going to be needing.

Level 3: Deliberately Focused

The next phase is Deliberately Focused. Okay, so these people are excited. They’re getting clients every month. Their lead generation is consistent because of this. Their revenue is consistent, and their income is becoming predictable, which is what we all want when we get into business, right?

During this phase, they’re probably making between $15,000 and $50,000 a month. They are paying themselves maybe a salary of around $50,000 or more a year, and they are really focusing on automating their lead generation, and they’ve got operating procedures in place because they’re starting to delegate some things to their team at this phase.

Level 4: Livin’ the Dream

The top phase here is Living the Dream, so you’re feeling ecstatic, you’re booked, you’ve got a full schedule, you’re doing what you love, you have time and financial freedom, you’re working as much as you want, but you’re still having time to go spend with family and do fun things. You are probably earning over $50,000 a month in revenue, and probably paying yourself a salary of $100,000 a year or more.

You are fully automated. You probably have multiple streams of income at this level, and you may even have a paid waiting list for your one-on-one services.

Of these four levels, where do you see yourself right now, and what is the next level that you are working to achieve?

Next, Move Up the Pyramid – How to Achieve Your Next Level of Success

Step two is really looking at what we need to be doing at each of these levels in order to get results.

From Discouraged to Doing it All

If you’re at the Discouraged level, you need to be focused on building the foundation in your business. This is getting clear on your ideal client, creating your irresistible marketing messages, your lead magnet, your offers, your packages, all of those kinds of things, and also building your website and a simple lead funnel so that you have a business tool that can help you in order to get leads and start getting some consistency in your business.

From Doing It All to Deliberately Focused

If you’re at the Doing It All phase, then you need to be focused on automating and delegating and creating systems in your business that are going to give you some freedom and reduce some of the stress in your business.

A lot of people ask, “Well, what system should I be setting up first?”.  I like to recommend that you take a look at, “Where are you stressed out? Is it lead generation?” Then set up an automated lead funnel with a Facebook ad or something along those lines. If you are struggling with client management, then you need some project management systems in place, and maybe some client on-boarding systems, in order to deliver your services. Maybe bookkeeping is something that stresses you out, and so you want to look at a solution for that.

Whatever it is at this Doing It All phase, it’s time to start taking off some of those hats and automating or delegating what you need to so that you can focus on the things that you do best.

From Deliberately Focused to Livin’ the Dream

For the Deliberately Focused phase, we are going to be focusing on optimizing and leveraging your business, so you want to make sure that you are leveraging your energy and your systems, the people that you can work with, delegating to a team, as well as leveraging your money.

During this phase, I recommend that you’re only working in your zone of genius, so if it’s something you don’t love doing, someone else should be doing it for you. You need to be focusing on building authority in your market and creating services and packages that can be delivered one-to-many, instead of one to one. This is going to allow you to create some leverage and be able to help more people, and you won’t be capped by your time as far as earning income.

Livin’ the Dream—You Have Arrived

The top-level here is Livin’ the Dream. If you’re at this phase, then you really want to be fiercely protecting your energy and your mindset. In order to achieve these levels, systems cannot get us to this level up here. You’ve got to be focused on your mindset and just be ruthless with your calendar.

Say “no” to anything and everything that doesn’t make you happy or that you don’t love doing. You need to work less, delegate more, and really give yourself space to be creative and to focus on your zone of genius, the things that you do best.

You also want to be focused on your positioning and increasing your authority in your niche and beyond, and reinvest the revenue that you’re generating into creating better systems and building a world-class team.
