How To Save Time on Your Marketing with Automated Emails

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “It takes money to make money.” For better or worse, any business owner knows deep in their bones how true that is.

But, I want to throw out another one for you. How about this?

“It takes time to save time.”

This saying is just as true.

Let’s Think about This in Terms of Business Relationships.

All business owners know that relationships matter when it comes to getting new business. That’s why it’s so important to spend time with others so that they get to know you, like you, and trust you. Until people get to that point, they aren’t willing to give you their hard-earned money for your solutions to their problems.

It’s quite commonsensical really. After all, would you pay for a service that you didn’t believe could help you solve your problem? Of course not. It wouldn’t make any sense.

So, marketing is all about building and leveraging relationships.

The problem is that you can only be in one place at any given time. That means that your ability to build and maintain a multiplicity of relationships at a single time is limited to your physical person.

As a result, your potential for income is likewise limited.

So, How Can You Build and Maintain Relationships More Efficiently so that You Can Increase Your Income Potential?

Leverage automation. Especially automated emails.

Think back to any good welcome email sequence that you have received. How did it affect how you felt about the company?

The purpose of that sequence was to help you get to know, like, and trust the business sending it.

In other words, they were automating the relationship-building process.

This is how you break through that revenue glass ceiling.

And, it’s necessary if you want to truly scale your business.

But…

Here’s the catch…

You Have to Take Time to Learn How to Set Up Those Automated Emails.

Of course, this is the point where many business owners lose interest.

“I simply don’t have time to learn how to set those emails up,” you might say.

I get that. You have a lot of things that need to be done. You have to attract the work and do the work in order to pay the bills.

And this all brings us back to…

“It takes time to save time.”

If you want to be able to scale your business, you are going to need to spend a certain amount of your time learning how to leverage automated email campaigns. As I’ve already noted, you don’t have to figure out an entire email platform all at once, but you do need to invest yourself so you can reach your goal.

While I can’t help you avoid investing some time into this, I can help you reduce the amount of time you spend.

First, a Recommendation.

Don’t be afraid to do a quick search to look things up as soon as you run into a struggle. This one I learned through the School of Hard Knocks.

I don’t know how many times I have tried to figure something out on my own by just poking around in a platform. After hours (yes, hours) of wasted time, I finally decided to just look it up on Google or YouTube.

Lo and behold, there was my answer!

So, if you want to save time, search early and search often.

Second, a Resource.

Here at Wise Owl Marketing, we use ActiveCampaign. It is an incredibly robust email platform and our clear favorite above all the others.

However, will all that wonderful possibility comes some difficulty learning it.

Thankfully, if you want to learn how to use ActiveCampaign to its fullest, they have created a resource just for you. It’s called ActiveCampaign University.  It’s a series of tutorials to teach you everything you need to know about the platform so that you can use it however you need to.

I hope all that helps. I strongly recommend that you find a way to build learning how to create and leverage automated email campaigns into your schedule sooner rather than later. Even if you decide to wait to implement a campaign, you will know more about what to do when the time comes.

Strategic Systems Save Time

Anytime you are operating your business without a plan, doing whatever seems like a good idea at the time, you are going to be wasting a lot of time. That means spending more time working in your business than you need to, which creates needlessly long days with little time off.

Any time you can strategically plan out your business with achievable goals, you can create systems that help you reach (or even crush) those goals. And automated emails are a powerful part of any strategic system for business owners who want to grow and scale their business.

If you would like to see the strategic system that Heather uses with her clients to help them take their businesses to new heights, check out her Get Leads & Clients Masterclass. It’s a system that helps you tailor a power strategic system for your business, as you build it from the ground up.
